This tiki is a statement piece. He's large and imposing. The intricate hand-carved details are impressive, and the whole look is completed with the natural paua eyes. As these pieces are hand made here in New Zealand, no two pieces are exactly the same.
The meaning of the tiki differs from tribe to tribe, although most tribes are in agreement that it is 'human form' and represents their ancestors. It is a good luck symbol and is believed to bring the wearer/owner clear thought, loyalty, strength and fertility.
The tiki makes a great gift for any special occassion, be it a retirement/farewell, a thank you, wedding, birthday or graduation. The base looks amazing when it is engraved.
