Maori Kotiate Club
Our Kotiate club is hand carved here in New Zealand.
It features a paua eye and a plated twine handle.
Please note that as they are hand carved each one may be slightly different.
A Kotiate is a short club normally made of wood or whalebone. The name Kotiate means to cut or divide the liver and is probably taken from its shape which resembles the lobed part of a human liver.
Size: 32 cm high x 11.8 cm wide at the widest point
There is a matching Base available which can be engraved on the front. The Kotiate will then lie length ways (horizonal). Please note we don't engrave on the Kotiate.
